God's Call:
Ministry to the Incarcerated as a Mission of Love

MISSION STATEMENT

What is MI Prison Ministry?
Catholic identity and spiritual support for the incarcerated is the purpose of MI Prison Ministry. Our aim is to introduce every inmate to Mary Immaculate and to St. Maximilian Kolbe ,who are models of redemptive suffering, to help them to endure their own inner suffering. Our goals are:

  • Prayer is primary. Through prayer requests and petitions, we ask the Holy Spirit to guide all to Jesus through Mary.
  • Invite inmates to become consecrated to Jesus through Mary as an MI member.
  • Spiritual outreach joins the prayers of religious and laity with that of inmates, forming a cenacle (community) that prays every Tuesday and Sunday at 8pm, offeirng true unity of redemptive suffering with Jesus.
  • Provide teaching tools by supplying Catholic Bibles, reading material, holy cards and prayer cards (in Spanish and English), copies of the Mini-Catechism, rosaries and sacramentals, as well as religious audio-visual materials.

If You Know of An Inmate....
...who needs help with their struggles, let us introduce them to the comfort of Mary our Mother as she leads them to the peace of her son, Jesus. Write to us with their name, address, and I.D. number, and we would be happy to contact them.
