MI International meeting, Poland: Br. Louis Schmid recalls, "...the MIs are to courageously accept the challenge of a world thirsting for Christ, and through our Lady's intercession to open ourselves to the inspiration of the Holy Spirit for the salvation of souls, in our troubled and complex world."

MI National Council Meeting: The MI Board, with members from across the country, discussed plans for the years ahead, the MI National Conference, and future publications.

Our Beloved Fr. Luigi M. Faccenda
From the very beginning of his priestly ministry, Father Faccenda has been a father and a trusted guide in the spiritual journey of the Fr. Kolbe Missionaries (men and women), Fr. Kolbe Volunteers, and of many persons who have met him in his intense and ardent apostolate.

Grateful to Our Lord for all that he has given us through Father, we entrust ourselves to his intercession knowing that from heaven, he will continue "to work in order to lead all men to God through the Immaculata." The Blessed Virgin, greatly loved by him, will accompany him in this last journey to contemplate together and in eternity, the true face of God.

To each and every one of you, we ask a particular remembrance in your prayer. The Kolbe Mis-sionaries work closely with the Franciscan Friars to promote the Militia of the Immaculata movement. "I challenge you to offer everything you have for the salvation of man-your time, love and your life. Do this through the Immaculata! Do this in the foosteps of St. Maximilian Kolbe! Do this in this special moment of the Church!"
Fr. Faccenda, ofm conv.

MI National Center: Eighteen people, from the area and as far as Wisconsin, came to make their total consecration September 19, 2005, the feast day of Our Lady of La Salette at Marytown.

Sandy, Utah: Marisa, Selena and Theresa made their total consecration on the feast of the Annunciation, 2005, at Blessed Sacrament Parish. Approximately twenty people from across the diocese joined them for a consecration renewal this past August 14, the feast of St. Maximilian.

MI Prison Ministry
"Pray that I will be used mightily in promoting MI & KFC. Pray for a priest to come more than once a month to hold Mass for us prisoners. Pray for the conversion of sinners, and that the Holy Spirit will speak through me and touch the hearts of the lost prisoners so that they will come to the Lord. Prayers of thanksgiving for the Lord being so good to me; a wretched sinner."
Inmate, Jackson, MI

Sweet Sixteen: August 14, 2005, marked the date MI Village of South River, NJ, of St. Mary's Parish, where they have faithfully gathered together each first Sunday of the month for sixteen years, sharing each other's joys and sorrows in faith and friendship. A long-time member, now Fr. James Miara of the New York Archdiocese, tries to visit twice a year for a spiritual talk.

Niepokalanow, Poland: Last August, Fr. Steve McKinley celebrated Mass in the chapel built and used by St. Maximilian Kolbe.
