Easter Blessings!! Here is a copy of the letter to Pope Francis from the children of our Family Village (verbatim): Yours in Christ, Nic

"Dear Pope Francis,
We want to tell you how very much we love you and we wish you to have a great first year as our Pope! We are so glad you became our Pope and we wish for you so much. We wish especially for you to have, hope, love, fortitude, wisdom and knowledge but especially the grace of God! We are the children of the Militia of the Immaculata in Modesto, Ca., U.S.A. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Being part of the MI we know to pray to our Blessed Mother, Mary and to St. Maximilian Kolbe so we pray to them and the Holy Spirit to guide you, help you and watch over you and to keep you safe. We pray God keeps you safe from danger and we know He will send your Guardian Angel to help you.
To help you we want to offer for you to God a Spiritual Bouquet that we will try very hard to keep (even though some things are especially hard):
Jacob (5) I will give up candy for 2 weeks
Josephine (7) I will not play in the garage for 1 day
Caitlin (5) I read Bible stories and offer them for our Pope
Kateri (12)I will offer bedtime prayers every night for 1 month or as long as I can.
MaryGrace (10) I will offer 1 decade of the Holy Rosary for 1 month for Pope Francis
Francis (8): I want to offer to pray all day every day because our Pope has the same name as me and St. Francis but I think I will offer Morning Prayer and bedtime prayer for 2 weeks because I have to be quiet in soccer.
Gemma (10) I will practice obedience like St. Maximilain calls us to do and offer it up for Pope Francis
Gianna (8) I will offer up practicing obedience especially in school where it is really hard sometimes.
Alexandria (4) I will pray the Hail Mary for the Pope!
Elizabeth (7) I will offer a morning prayer for our Pope Francis every morning for 1 week.”

Fr. Marcos Gonzalez from Los Angeles presented Vatican Council II document, Sacrosanctum Concilium, to the Young Adults.
Total Consecration – 5 adults made their act of total consecration to Mary at St. Christopher’s. They confessed to have many fears of giving themselves to Mary and that joining the MI would be too much. Rather, they were excited to understand it was an ever more interior transformation they are being called to.
Participants of the Women of Grace program and their families consecrated themselves at San Segundo in Guasti, CA.

Inspired by a recent MI consecrant, our annual "A Holy Hour for Mercy" celebration on Divine Mercy Sunday was taken to new levels of participation this year as the adult English choir sang the chaplet and Eucharistic adoration chants, followed by a potluck dinner. Highlights were read from Pope John Paul II's homily at St. Faustina's canonization Mass. These were tied into the life and martyrdom of St. Maximilian Kolbe. May these three Polish saints continue to intercede for us all. In May we will celebrate the one year anniversary of our Nocturnal Adoration Program for Vocations, a fruit of our first MI parish Lenten retreat, as well as organize our parish May crowning which will include the praying of a multi-language rosary.
