Some news from Fr. Patrick Greenough, OFM Conv, MI National President after the MI International Council meeting, Nov 2011 - Rome
- A Franciscan Friar from the Philippines will come and help at the MI International Office and the Kolbe Expo in Rome.
- The Council is studying the MI's International By-Laws for revision.
- The Council discussed the use of the terms: consecration, donation, and entrustment by varying countries: Poland -donation, Italy - entrustment, US -consecration to mean the same thing when referring to the act of total consecration.

November 13th 5 couples and 6 individual adults made their act of total consecration. They were prepared be way of a power point Biblical presentation on Mary, along with her dogmas (by Joe & Sue), the DVD from Marytown on St. Maximilian and the MI, and an explanation of the total consecration prayer by Ann O’Donnell. Children programs were run by Village members, Alex & Sharon Soberon and Massimo & Mary Breda. About 25 kids prayed a simplified prayer of consecration to Mary. The celebration finished with a pot-luck for some 80 MIers.

Tying in beautifully with the Church's tradition of praying for the faithful departed during the month of November, our final study week of A Man for Others highlighted the last days of St. Maximilian Kolbe and was followed by discussions of our own deceased loved ones. We will offer two family-based activities during the month of December as we carol at an assisted living facility and participate in the annual diocesan Las Posadas at the Cathedral.
