In March we are planning a Mass and Anointing of the Sick.  We coordinate the homebound with Storer Bus Systems, which provides transportation to St. Joseph’s free of charge.

MI Family Village    March 14, Sunday after 9:00 am Mass

Fr Benny gave a presentation to the Family Village this past Sunday Feb 14th on what it means to be “wholly” Hers (Immaculata) without any reservation.

The first part of the consecration prayer states, “Beseeching you to accept my whole and entire self as your property and possession.”  This is limitless.   And then, “Dispose of me, of all my faculties of soul and body, of my whole life, death and eternity, as it pleases you.”   That is the basic aim of the MI .
Since we belong entirely to the Immaculata, let us do all within our power to convert and sanctify souls.  It is the Immaculate herself who works through our mediation.   Those acts become more perfect because they become the possession of the Immaculata.

Fr Benny talked about those who are possessed by the devil, that the devil is acting and thinking thru them. In our Consecration we ask to be her possession without any reservation.  We want her to think, to speak and to act through us.   We desire to belong to the Immaculata to the extent that nothing will remain in us that does not identify her, so that we may be annihilated in her,..... transformed into her,...... changed into her,..... that she alone remains, so that we may be as much hers as she is God’s.   When we remain in her she gives birth to Jesus, who is God, and that we might bring her into every heart, to give her life to every heart.   In other words... Divinizing man to the God-Man through the Mother of the God-Man.  We re-read the consecration prayer slowly and took in its meaning in a more powerful way after Fr Benny’s presentation.

Anyone wishing to have their home Enthroned to the Sacred Heart, which entails two visits, call Kent Harker 209-571-5471.

March 25th, 5:45pm Mass, Feast of the Annunciation will be an occasion for those who wish to consecrate their families to the Immacualta.   We will be supporting those new “Family Village”, members and celebrating our one year anniversaries of Family Consecration.

Jillian Cooke’s profession of vows, Feb. 13 as a Fr. Kolbe Missionary of the Immaculata

It was a glorious celebration witnessed by some 400 people at St Christopher’s Church.

“The Father Kolbe Missionaries have taught me to dream and hope without fear, because the world is broken and suffering, but is beautiful and bursting with the wonders of the Lord. The Father Kolbe Missionaries of the Immaculata take up the legacy left by St. Maximilian Kolbe, who found joy even in the Bunker of Auschwitz. He testified to the beauty of the individual and all of God’s creation, while fighting vehemently against sin and the false ideologies of his day. They look to continue St. Max’s mission by entrusting themselves to the Immaculate Mother, whose purity manifests our own final destination and whose holiness shines forth as inspirational guide. With the Father Kolbe Missionaries I can be an instrument in the hands of this Mother, an instrument for bringing about the authentic happiness of men in Christ for the Glory of God. It is a gift, a call, a mission.

Jesus Christ has held out His Sacred Heart to me, burning with Divine Love for me and all His children. He has given and blessed my desire to serve Him unreservedly. I wait to see all the wonders the Lord will perform as He continues to draw me to Himself.  I know I will appreciate an ever more authentic happiness in Him, and thus be able to share it with the world wherever and however I am called. This is the simple beauty of being a Fr. Kolbe Missionary. My only hope now is be a faithful one!”

I had to split the total consecration class into two parts. “Road to Sanctity “ was just too good to cut short.  March 6, I will talk on Mary, the Mother of Our Redeemer and Total Consecration.
We had 35 come in spite of horrible weather. As a village, we are either going to make the consecration or renew our consecration on March 25 at a special Mass.

We had a beautiful blessing of the candles ceremony at our last meeting. All were invited to take a newly blessed candle as we welcomed Christ, the Light of the World into our homes.
We began our study of the Marytown Press book entitled Together With Mary through the question, “How can we embrace our spiritual life with Mary?”  We look forward to discussing how, together with Mary, we can become caring sewers of good seed in the world.”
